Talia fought Syn in August 2000 and, although she won, it was a very hard fight that tested the Russian to her very limits. Immediately after the match Talia recruited Syn to the WCF as the second member of the Vipers team. Talia was impressed by Syn's habit of painting her face and she decided to adopt it as a feature of the Vipers team.

Syn was born in Antigua in the Caribbean in 1978. With 7 brothers and 4 sisters, she had to fight for anything she could get from the earliest days. At the age of 11 she moved to the USA to live with her aunt and uncle in Baltimore. It was at high school in Baltimore that Syn first learnt to fight. She took up female wrestling and went on to represent her school and later her college in county and state matches.
