Continued from part 8: The lightweight wrestlers have won the toss for the choice of venue for their event and have chosen the square-ring. The athletic and fast-twitched lightweights will really be flying on this springy surface, as we are sure to see some top-notch grapplers compete. As with all of the Olympic wrestling events in the year 2294 all-in grappling is the order of the day. A competitor may win by submission, knockout (usually by strangulation) or 30-second controlling pin. Since 2200 the wrestling is done nude and sexual arousal and stimulation of the opponent is considered fair and quite acceptable. Most wrestlers use performance-enhancing drugs, as there is no ban on their use in 2294. |
