Part 7: Diary of a Holodeck rookie |

| Bethany has just bought herself one of
the new generation of self-operating Holodeck tables. It is a
luxury state-of-the-art unit that boasts a full range of safety features
that enable it to be located at her home in a specially screened room.
She has also bought a range of software packages with the unit that are
guaranteed to give her the thrill of a lifetime. The unit came with a few short training "trips" that Bethany has completed, so now she feels ready to take the big plunge by trying out her most expensive software package entitled "A Universe of Pleasure and Pain". In setting up the software Bethany has had to select or reject the types of "thrills" she wishes to experience. As a compulsive thrill-seeker Bethany has left very few boxes unchecked! Now we take up the story with extracts from Bethany's diary of her first trip to the Holodeck.....
