Sir Ralph Montague, husband of Charlotte Montague sat at one side of the table.  Sir Bernard Woodward, husband of Deidre Woodward, sat at the opposite side of the table, while Lord James Xavier sat across from both men.  Over a lengthy period of time the two wealthy men explained their stories, and what had happened in the fights, while James listened with extreme interest.
