Tanya went with her friends Jasmina and
Celeste to watch "Night Games" on the island of San Cristobel.
Jasmina had found out that Ora, the Grand Inquisitor of San Cristobel,
was intending to take her prisoner, Lady Lydia, to fight in the games.
The three friends watched as Ora issued a challenge for any woman in the
crowd to take on the famous Fighting Duchess for a prize of 10 ducats in
gold. Lydia's first challenger was a young wife called Abilene,
but her second challenger was an old foe of hers - Celeste! |
