The KO Corral is a unique fight venue; it consists of
an indoor ring, but instead of canvas, the floor is covered with
sawdust, and instead of the typical ropes and turnbuckles, the ring is
surrounded by split rail fence, wrapped with thin foam pads, but the
wooden corner posts are just bare wood.
Members of the KO Corral club can use this unique
fight venue as a place to settle disputes.
The Corral offered this "dispute resolution" facility under strict
rules:
1. The combatants were to fight anonymously under the pseudonyms
of "Red" and "Blue".
2. There was no time limit or rounds to the fights.
3. Combatants should not attempt to permanently disfigure or
seriously injure their opponent
4. The fight would be determined by a KO or by one of the
combatants submitting to her opponent and agreeing to stop or withdraw
from the dispute.
The latest dispute was, as usual, over a guy - the
wife had found out about her husband's girlfriend and she was not
willing to tolerate the situation. So she had challenged the
girlfriend to the topless boxing match on a "winner takes all" basis.
If the wife lost she agreed to leave her husband and seek a divorce, but
if the girlfriend lost then she would leave town and never make contact
with the husband again.
KO Corral club members are usually invited to watch
fights live, but in this case the two fighters had opted for a private
match with only a referee present. However, the match was being
taped so that members could watch it in the club theatre at a later
date.
