Continued from part 2: It is six months since Martha made her first appearance in the stockade and since that time the white woman has beaten a total of 6 female slaves in naked boxing matches. The betting is on her to win another victory as she approaches the wooden stockade for her seventh fight. This month Martha's opponent comes from the "Haydock" plantation owned and operated by Lord Digby Rawlings. It is rumoured that Lord Digby has purchased a new slave girl from the neighbouring French island of Martinique specifically to fight Martha. But as Martha climbs over the wooden fence and drops down into the stockade neither she nor her mentor, Sir Richard Irving, are worried by such talk .
