Lharna in her ongoing wanderings has come to a large,
stone structure. It is early morning and a large group of figures
is entering the structure through a large gate. Lharna follows the
group into the structure and she sees that it is a large circular arena,
covered with dirt and dark stains. She also sees that only women
are present.A female approaches and Lharna asks why there are no men
and whether this is a celebration. The female states that there is
no celebration and that the males are only for work and fighting, and
today are the fights. Lharna asks fight for what? The female
replies that the males fight for their freedom, but that none has ever
won his freedom for no male can defeat the women's champion who is
called "Scythia". The female says that Scythia looks like no other
woman. She is stronger than any 2 males together, her body bulges with
power; her fighting skills are beyond any male's. The female becomes
excited! She states that Scythia crushes men with her bare hands, she
humiliates them; proving they are all weak, not worthy of any woman, let
alone the all powerful Scythia!
Lharna is troubled by these words! In Lharna's mind, all are
equal if they show equal respect! Lharna also wonders if all the
females present shared this female's ideas. Lharna then spies the
males, naked, herded like animals behind a large wooden gate. The
gate is raised and 2 males come out into the center of the arena. The
female crowd mostly boo loudly, but Lharna spies some females standing
silent, their faces troubled as they eye the males. Then from an
opposite gate strides an imposing black woman cloaked in a blood red
robe. Again, most of the crowd respond, but this time cheering loudly
and again a few women stand silent. Scythia then motions for the males
to fight, which they begin in vicious earnestness. Thus our story
begins.....
