Late that night the two fathers meet up to
discuss the events of the evening and how they are going to resolve things.
Sir Hector is very reluctant to let his daughter fight, but he eventually agrees
to it when the Captain threatens him with a duel to the death if his daughter's
honour is not satisfied. Sir Hector insists that the fight should take
place in absolute privacy at his plantation and that he should be given a few
days to make the necessary arrangements. |
